Harrison Ford injury on Star Wars: Episode VII Set

Harrison Ford InjuryOn June 12, 2014 Disney released a statement announcing the Harrison Ford injury to his ankle. The statement included, “He was taken to a local hospital and is receiving care. Shooting will continue as planned while he recuperates.”

Harrison Ford InjuryFord is no stranger to illness and injury on set. His most famous of these would have to be while filming ‘Raiders of the Lost Ark’ he suffered from food poisoning. In the famous scene where he shoots the swordsman, instead of shooting the melee master there was an elaborate fight planned out but due to his illness he suggested Indy “shoot the sucker”.

With production happening both at Pinewood Studios Buckinghamshire, England and also Abu Dhabi, it is unknown where the accident took place but I am sure that Ford will make a fast and healthy recovery.
