Music with a cause: Rock for the Children donates music sales directly to foster programs

Rock For The Children logoLove music? Want to support a great cause?
Well this is a prefect campaign for ya.

Swedish band We Are The Catalyst recently released a new single called “Don’t You Worry Child” along with a powerful music video to spread a simple but important message: All children deserve a safe place to call home. The music video brings to light the struggle of foster children all over the world. It’s a moving piece of art structured around an important call to action.

In partnership with Rock for the Children, the band is donating all proceeds from the song’s release to The Fostering Network, an organization which ensures that foster children receive all of the opportunities and the support they deserve.

Here’s how you can support this cause:

First, check out We Are The Catalyst’s music video below and share it to social media sites to help spread the word.

You can donate by downloading “Don’t You Worry Child” on iTunes, Amazon, or Google Play and all profits will go directly to The Fostering Network.

You can also support this cause by learning more about The Fostering Network, a 40 year old organization which works with over 50,000 foster caregivers. Not only do they work closely with foster carers to give support on the individual level, but they fight for just policies and defend the rights of current and future foster children. Although their efforts are focused in England and Scotland, they set a strong example for how to improve the fostering system all over the world.

This and other organizations like them need support to continue and expand the work that they’re doing. If you can’t support them monetarily, you can help raise awareness about the issue online and in your community or volunteer at your local foster services.

Even by simply sharing this video and using the hashtag #RockForTheChildren, you’re helping to advocate for foster children and globally improve the fostering system.
