New Single, “Heartracer” from indie synthpop band Cosby

Cosby PR 1 by Peter Beliaev

Here’s a band to keep an eye on. Since forming their band in 2012 in Richmond, Virginia, brothers Chris and Chip Cosby have brought to life a killer blend of ’80s synothpop, britpop, and indie rock. As Cosby, they’ve brought their nostalgic, feel good music to the stage opening for Future Islands and playing a number of festivals across the country. If you’re a fan of bands like The Killers, Passion Pit, and Two Door Cinema Club, Cosby is definitely for you.

Before forming Cosby, the two brothers each had their own music careers, but with the joining of talents, experiences, and inspirations (as they put it, “a melding of relative musical experience and their relative bloodlines”), they’re able to create something that’s somehow familiar and comfortable but still manages to be new and authentic.

Now is absolutely the time to get into this band as they gear up to release their next album.

As a little taste of what they’re all about, “Heartracer” is the first single and music video released from that upcoming album.

You can buy or stream this track right now over on Cosby’s Bandcamp page. While you’re there you should also check out their debut album In Flight, which is available as a name your price download so you can support this up and coming independent band as you see fit (remember that support can take many forms– spreading the word, sharing their music, and showing your love on social media really means a lot to indie artists).

Check out more from Cosby at and press that follow button over on Facebook and Twitter to stay up to date about the release of their next album.
