Zombie Roomie – Entertainment for your Braaaaains

Honestly I don’t know why I hadn’t found Zombie Roomie before now.  This comic has a little bit of everything for the not so discerning reader.  Start out with a cynical bearded fellow, give him a zombie roommate in a world where monsters exist and are more or less half exposed to the real world.

I won’t tell you that this comic is high brained or intellectual, they go for the cheap jokes… LOTS of cheap jokes, and that is part of what makes it so awesome.  The art is well done compared to most comics made in such a niche-indie style and the presentation is easy to read.  Zombie Roomie also has a healthy sized archive, meaning that you actually get to enjoy the jokes without suddenly running into a brick wall.

Essentially Zombie Roomie is a an entertaining indie monster comic done in the now-traditional gamer comic style.  They don’t pretend to be anything other than what they are, and while the characters are seen with controllers in their hands once every forty comics or so, this is more happenstance than gamerism.  This is clearly something unique, and in my opinion a great addition to the comic community.

Four stars for creativity, art, and generally good natured humor.  Only read this comic if you are comfortable with morbid humor, magic, and monsters.  I recommend reading Zombie Roomie with a hot cup of your favorite beverage on a stormy day because this is one of those comics that you will feel compelled to finish once you start.
